iC-NQE 16-Bit Signal Conditioning Interpolator with BiSS Interface
Description
The iC-NQE sin/cos sensor converter generates high-resolution incremental and absolute angle data with outstanding precision and minimal latency. Count-safe quadrature encoder and motor commutation signals are available as well as absolute position data with up to 16-bit resolution and 32-bit cycle counting, with initialization via the index input or the absolute data interface. Controllers can connect via SPI or I2C, the built-in RS-422 transceiver can ease the BiSS interface cabling.
Features:
- Precision PGA inputs, conditioned Sin/Cos output (1 Vpp @ 100 Ω)
- Real-time interpolation with up to 65536 increments per input period
- Multiple interfaces: BiSS, SPI, I2C, ABZ, UVW, PWM
- Outstanding signal conditioning accuracy
- Vector-tracking interpolation for ultra-low latency
- Correction of signal distortion per input period
- Digital position noise filter for outstanding AB jitter
- 32-bit period counting with up to 500 kHz
- MCU connection via SPI or I²C
- BiSS access to I²C devices and memory
- RS-422 quadrature drivers and BiSS transceiver for easy cabling
- Space-saving and cost-effective
- GUI-supported self-calibration for easy commissioning
- 3.3 V or 5 V operation at –40 °C to 125 °C
- Drop-in upgrade of iC-NQx applications by 20-pin TSSOP
