Temposonics® R-Series V
The Temposonics® R-Series V continues the success story of previous generations of sensors by adding new features and tools to further enhance the user experience. New features and tools make the R-Series V ideal for Industry 4.0 applications. The new magnetostrictive position sensors are adaptable to a wide range of applications and can now evaluate more parameters while the application is running.
The R-Series V is supported by the TempoLink® and TempoGate® sensor assistants. With the sensor assistant, detailed information about the state of the application, such as sensor status, internal temperature, total operating hours, distance travelled by position magnets and more, can be relayed and evaluated via a USB port or wireless device.
The Temposonics® R-Series V is available as rod and profile style, as well as flexible rod, with remote electronics and with super shield housing. All Industrial Ethernet sensors feature a 37% smaller package, enabling more compact application designs than previous generations. The new sensors are more robust and reliable than ever before. Thanks to improved components, the R-Series V now supports an extended operating temperature range from -40° to +85°C. In addition, shock resistance has been increased to 150 g and vibration resistance to 30 g. Combined with a wider supply voltage range, the sensors can now be more easily integrated into harsher and rougher applications, while still providing accurate measurement data down to 0.5 µm.
The new generation is fully backwards compatible, using proven electrical and mechanical connections and designs. The well-known high performance and quality of previous generations of the R-Series is continued and combined with the advanced features and new, more smart functions in the R-Series V, so that users get what they are used to from Temposonics (formerly MTS Sensors) and at the same time experience the power of the new generation.
