Cables for extreme conditions

With the SPE cable products, BizLink offers a solution which is standardized according to IEC 61156-x for trailing, torsion and robotic applications as well as special solutions that combine Single Pair Ethernet with various other elements (hybrid cables).

The product portfolio includes two basic types with 22 AWG and 26 AWG conductors. The 22 AWG variant is characterised by exceptionally good loss. The cable with 26 AWG is particularly suitable if less space is available for the cable.

With the new PROFINET green cables, BizLink understands the importance of sustainability without comprising performance and developed two cable types with outer jackets based on plant material.

The cables are available with a PUR and PVC jacket both engineered with raw materials derived from plants rather than fossil fuels.

The PUR version is designed for trailing application according to PROFINET type C and withstands more than 3 mio bending cycles.

The PVC jacket is for flexible applications according to PROFINET type B.

Ethernet-APL (advanced physical layer) is a ground-breaking technology that incorporates the advantages of the Ethernet protocol in process automation. It enables data to be transferred across longer distances of up to 1000m at higher speed and with greater reliability. Ethernet-APL thus plays a crucial role in industry’s digital transformation.

The new solution that BizLink has developed combines the APL (Cable Category IV) standard, the SPE (IEC 61156-13) standard as well as the established PROFIBUS PA standard in a single cable. Users can therefore choose freely which technology to apply in their plant. Even where PROFIBUS PA is presently used, it will in future be possible to operate devices with APL technology via this cable, which facilities seamless migration to Ethernet-APL while existing capital investments are protected.

New APL cable with proven FieldLink standard

BizLink offers the cable, which is part of the FieldLink product family, in two different versions: as a trunk cable for distances of up to 1000m between the switches and as a spur cable, which can be used as a connecting cable for a device with a length of up to 200m. Spur cables can be used in areas at risk of explosion.

Both versions have an outer jacket made of PVC for flexible laying and are highly suited to industrial applications. They are resistant to oil and UV as well as ROHS-compliant and are certified to UL Style 2570. They are furthermore resistant to humidity, dust, vibration and other environmental influences.

Efficiency in Factory Automation: AS-Interface Cable Solutions from BizLink

The AS-Interface (ASi) system has established itself in mechanical engineering and factory automation as a smart and cost-effective alternative to traditional parallel cabling for sensors and actuators.

The principle: One cable for everything

The yellow flat cable: The unshielded, 2-wire flat cable transmits both peripheral data and the power required for sensors and actuators simultaneously. This saves a significant amount of installation time and reduces sources of error.

The black power cable: For actuators with higher power requirements, the system is easily and flexibly supplemented by the black AS-i auxiliary power cable.
