From start-ups to key players: joining forces for innovation at the SPS 2024

Stuttgart, 3 September 2024. This year’s SPS – Smart Production Solutions, the end-of-year highlight of the automation industry calendar, will take place in Nuremberg from 12 – 14 November 2024. For more than three decades, this platform for international success has been frequented by exhibitors and potential customers from all around the world. And there is every reason to expect a repeat performance this year.

SPS – Smart Production Solutions returns to original date in 2025

Stuttgart, 14.05.2024: Next year’s SPS will take place in Nuremberg from 25 – 27 November 2025, thus returning to the period familiar to the automation industry for many years. The dates up to 2027 have also already been published by the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt and are also at the end of November.

SPS 2023: All about growth

This year’s 32nd edition of the SPS - Smart Production Solutions was an out-and-out success. The number of exhibitors and trade visitors demonstrated the significant growth of the trade fair towards pre-covid levels. The organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt also made the right call with its decision to expand the exhibition space by adding two new halls.

Launch of the SPS CareerDrive career portal

The shortage of skilled workers has been a major issue for several years and has also impacted the automation industry. Due to the high demand for experts and motivated junior staff, Mesago Messe Frankfurt, the organizer of the leading international trade fair SPS - Smart Production Solutions, has now launched the SPS CareerDrive jobs portal this fall to support companies in finding suitable experts.

SPS 2023 – Demand for Automation Solutions on the Rise

From 14 – 16 November 2023, the Who’s Who of the automation industry will once again meet in Nuremberg. More than 1,200 exhibitors from around the world are expected to attend the 32nd edition of the SPS, Smart Production Solutions, covering 16 exhibition halls and a total exhibition space of approximately 120,000 sqm. In addition to the latest innovations, the industry event offers interested parties the opportunity to experience practical and forward-looking technologies at first hand and engage in a lively exchange with automation suppliers.

SPS 2023: Exhibition space expanded to 16 halls

Around 1,300 exhibitors are expected to attend the 32nd edition of the trade fair SPS – Smart Production Solutions – in Nuremberg from November 14 to 16, 2023. The current exhibitor booking figures indicate a significant growth of the exhibition compared to last year's event and thus a development towards the pre-Corona level. For this reason, the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt is expanding the exhibition space by two additional exhibition halls.

SPS 2023: Very High Rebooking Rate Among Exhibitors

The exhibition for smart and digital automation is on course for success again. At the beginning of the year, over 700 exhibitors had already registered for the SPS 2023, which will be held in Nuremberg, Germany from 14 to 16 November 2023. The proportion of repeat bookings from last year's exhibitors is very high, as is the number of registrations from new exhibitors.

SPS expands to the USA

With an annual sales volume of more than 50 billion euros, industrial automation is one of the most important economic sectors in Germany. The world's central trade fair platform for the industry is the SPS - Smart Production Solutions, organized by Mesago Messe Frankfurt. In view of its international success, the organizer will now also gain a foothold in the US market with this leading trade event. The SPS brand will be premiering in the region as the "Automation Sector powered by SPS" as part of IMTS 2024, before a stand-alone trade show is held in Atlanta in 2025.

The momentum of SPS Italia continues in Germany

The great success of the SPS Italia 2022 has further spurred interest in the SPS 2022 in Nuremberg: more than 700 exhibitors have already registered for the event, which will take place from 8 – 10 November. Following a successful SPS Italia in Parma, which was able to achieve an extremely positive result with 36,522 visitors and 802 exhibitors from May 24 - 26, the SPS in Nuremberg, has also recorded a high demand for participation in this year's highlight trade fair for automation.
