Two weeks before the start of the exhibition, a good 1,000 companies have confirmed their attendance (30% of which are international) and will use the opportunity to present their product innovations, maintain existing business contacts and make new ones.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to discover solutions from all areas of automation: drive and control technology, sensor technology, power supply, and mechanical infrastructure, as well as software and IT in manufacturing. In addition to market leaders such as Siemens, Phoenix Contact, Rittal, Beckhoff and Bosch Rexroth, a large number of specialized SMEs and innovative start-ups will also be presenting their products and services to the entire industry.

Interested parties can also look forward to an exciting program of presentations at the exhibition forum in Hall 5 and the Technology Stage powered by the trade associations VDMA/ZVEI in Hall 3, with the exhibition forum offering a platform for showcasing product innovations and the Technology Stage focusing on expert talks and panel discussions on current issues in automation.

Program highlights include, for example:

  • ZVEI Show-Case PCF@Control Cabinet – The feasibility of ZVEI’s DPP4.0-concept for a Digital Product Passport (technical lecture, Tue. 8 Nov., 09:40 a.m., C.E.T.)
  • Status and news about OPC UA – the world’s secure, interoperability solution (expert talk, Tue. 8 Nov., 2:00 p.m., C.E.T.)
  • Opportunities and challenges for drive technology as a result of digitalization and sustainability (panel discussion, Tue. 8 Nov., 3:15 p.m., C.E.T.)

An additional highlight of the event will be the subject talk by Bavarian Minister President Dr. Markus Söder, which will be broadcast live at 9:30 a.m. (C.E.T.) on Wednesday 9 November. This will focus on current topics from the worlds of business and politics, such as digitalization in Germany, as well as the significance of trade fairs for Germany as a business location after two years of pandemic.

This year, for the first time, the SPS will have a supplementary digital program. With the “SPS on air”, participants will be able to find information online about the exhibited products, contact suppliers directly, stream the program of lectures from the Technology Stage, and connect with other experts.
