Since it was established in 2011, SPS Italia has become the meeting place for Italian OEMs and companies that look to Italy as a potential market for their industrial automation products and solutions.
Thanks to a very strong OEM sector, in terms of both the performance and the quality of the machines it produces, Italy is the second largest European market for automation – in 2016, the sector grew by 7%. The export of machinery from Italy shows positive growth and Italy is the only EU country, apart from Germany, that can boast a trade surplus due to the export of automation technology.
The SPS Italia 2025 – innovation, exchange and recognition
The SPS Italia 2025 once again brought together the leading minds of industrial automation in Parma, setting strong impulses for the future of the industry. Over 37,000 visitors explored the latest advancements in AI, robotics, digitalization, and sustainable manufacturing. Key themes included intergenerational knowledge transfer, female leadership, and the growing importance of social and environmental responsibility in the industry.
A special highlight: the SPS Italia Awards, honoring outstanding individuals and projects in categories such as social sustainability, empowerment, and mentorship. The UP Challenge Award went to SunCubes for its innovative solution enabling wireless power supply for drones.
