FAQ
Where can I find a collection of all information on technical guidelines and stand construction guidelines?
All guidelines can be found here.
What are the rules for entering and staying in the loading yards during the days of assembly and disassembly?
For optimized and time-accurate planning of the arrival and departure of your material and to minimize waiting times, register your vehicles and their arrival time via the new digital retrieval system "TransITfair". It is not possible to enter the exhibition grounds without prior registration of a paid time slot* in the TransITfair system.
*Timeslots can be booked on the logistics system “TransITfair” from September 2026.
For the latest information regarding vehicle access please check the Last Minute Information for exhibitors which will be sent to you approximately 4 weeks before the exhibition.
Do we need a stand construction permit?
Assuming that the Technical Guidelines are complied with in the design and construction of the stand, it is not necessary to submit planning documents for single-story stand structures in the halls, provided they have a floor area of no more than 400 sqm.
Special constructions are subject to approval and costs. Special constructions include:
- Two-storey stand construction (see item 7 of the Stand Construction Guidelines and Notes)
- Constructions in the outdoor area
- Special constructions (show trucks, promotion vehicles, etc.)
- Cinema and auditorium areas < 100 sqm
- Scene areas
- Platforms and walk-on structures higher than 0.20 m
- LED walls/video walls incl. substructure or mounting materials
- Glass constructions
- Moving components
Review and approval of structures requiring permits:
Dimensioned stand plans on a suitable scale (at least 1:100) with ground plans and elevations must be submitted in electronic form (.pdf) to the Event Engineering Department of NürnbergMesse for approval no later than six weeks before the start of construction: veranstaltungstechnik@nuernbergmesse.de.
The stand construction is not approved until the Event Engineering Department has issued a note of approval.
For further information, please see item 4.2.1 and 4.10 of the Technical Guidelines of NürnbergMesse.
For more information on the stand construction guidelines, please refer to the document Stand Construction Guidelines and Notes.
What is the construction height in each hall?
The maximum permitted construction height for single-story stand construction is 6 m. Due to structural restrictions, this height cannot be realized in all halls. The maximum construction heights of the individual halls are listed in the following table.
| Hall | Maximum overall height (top edge of rigging) |
|---|---|
| 1 | 6 m (left side) |
| 1 | 5.8 m (right side) |
| 2 – 9 | 5.8 m |
| 3A, 3C, 4A, 7A, 11.0 | 6 m |
| 10.0 | 5.3 m |
| 11.1 | 3.6 m |
