Description

The new MAC series with integrated drive, controller, and optional absolute encoder is based on a compact 60x60mm or 80x80mm frame, delivering 400W to 1500W continuous power with a 4.5kW peak. Developed from earlier MAC models, it features reduced and combined internal boards for enhanced reliability and efficiency, designed for 24/7 operation with a minimum 10-year lifespan. High-efficiency components minimize heat, ensuring stable performance under demanding loads. Originally engineered for the requirements from automotive applications, it supports fast axis prototyping via embedded ePLC and self-diagnostic capabilities and safety functions. The motors are designed for cabinet free installation so machines can be built with a single small, standardized control cabinet. Without drives in the cabinet heat is greatly reduced lowering requirements and reduce cabinet cost further.All JVL motors can either be set up directly from a PLC without additional software or be programmed with JVL's MacTalk software. Function blocks for Siemens TIA and AOIs for Rockwell Automation, Studio 5000 allow seamless integration.

MIS231-MIS234 ServoStep Nema 23

The new motor family, ServoStep, uses the newest technology and the advancement of the previous designs, incorporating customers’ feedback. The family has the widest pallet of options in the market and will thus fit into all possible customer applications. Key features:First of all, integrated motors mean you get an all-in-one solution. In one unit you get motor, drive electronics, encoder, motion controller and an easily programmed embedded PLC with 8 I/O points onboard. The motors can operate as stand-alone units or be controlled from a master PLC or PC. The 8 I/O points can be individually configured as digital inputs, digital outputs or analog inputs. Even without options the new ServoStep motors offer some very strong features like closed-loop operation, torque control, ultra-high resolution of 409600 step/revolution resulting in unsurpassed smoothness and silent running plus a wide speed range from 0-3000 RPM with an extreme resolution of just 0.01 RPM.Power supply goes from 7 to 72 Volt DC and there are 4 pcs M12 industrial connectors for supply, signals and communications. Serial RS485 interface is standard on all motors.The family base line consists of high torque motors but if even more is needed JVL offers ultra high torque motors with up to 30% higher torque. There are ten different motors with 0.97 Nm to 3.1 Nm. Popular options include: Absolute multiturn encoders, CANopen, double shaft, hollow shaft, electromechanical brakes (front or rear mounted), better IP protection class up to IP65, special customized connectors and Safe Torque Off (STO) input. All ServoStep motors can be delivered with industrial Ethernet onboard. You can choose among all major protocols: Profinet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Sercos III, Powerlink and ModbusTCP/UDP.
No matter which Ethernet protocol were chosen for the machine or the whole factory the ServoStep motors can be connected.
Cabeling is a hassle? Using the onboard Ethernet-switch you can daisy-chain cables from one motor to the next. Quite uniquely on the market, users can even change Ethernet protocol by updating the firmware using the MacTalk software.

JVL A/S, one of the world leaders in the field of integrated servo - and stepper motors introduce a new compact and slim stepper motor. The new ServoStep integrated stepper motor series MIS171 to MIS176 have a NEMA17 42x42mm flange and include controller with 6 different industrial Ethernet protocols, absolute multiturn encoder, closed loop and M12 connectors. This new motor family is based on the latest microprocessor and cooling technology and an advancement compared to previous designs.
All the necessary electronics in a stepper system are integrated in the motor itself and are similar to the concept used by other JVL motors, making it very easy to use in all kind of motion control stepper or servomotor applications.The motor contains everything needed to solve a modern control task, either as a stand-alone with own easy programmable motion controller or controlled from an external PLC or PC. 8 I/O points can be individually configured as digital input, digital output or analogue input. Modbus RTU or CANopen provide easy connections to a PLC or HMI. An ActiveX/OCX driver is available to make simple interface to LabView, Excel, VB or other Windows-programs. Up to 254 axis can be connected on the same RS485 bus.

    Industrial Ethernet:
    Profinet, EtherCAT, Powerlink, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP or SERCOS III are available and for EtherCAT and SERCOS III synchronization and drive profiles are available. MACtalk can use Ethernet for commissioning the motor so no need for RS232/RS485 converter or additional cables. The motor has the ability to be upgraded with other protocols or newer versions of the same protocol at any time. Because of the upgradeability, the JVL Industrial Ethernet module is also ‘future proof' as newer versions of the protocols will always fit into the design. The motor is equipped with two Ethernet connectors and a built-in switch, enabling line topology without any extra expensive hardware. Several LEDs, enabling technicians and operators to get a quick status overview. New Technology:
    JVL has used the latest technology to achieve the incredibly high step resolution of 409,600 step/revolution, resulting in unsurpassed smoothness and silent running. At the same time reached an incredible speed-precision 0.01 RPM and acceleration precision 1 RPM/sec that have not been seen before.
    The newly developed heat transfer system, power electronics and special motor windings offer very high efficiency and optimized for outstanding high peak power up to 100W and 1Nm.
    Closed-loop provides higher torque, faster acceleration, current control, stall free operation and quieter operation compared to more traditional step motor systems. It compensates and corrects step angle error during a movement with a 36Mhz update rate within a full step thereby it works like a perfect stepper motor benefitting from the servo motor technology.
