Connection cable E-Mobility HV test benches

E-Mobility requires an appropriate connection technique within the range of high voltage measuring for component and vehicle test benches . The high voltage ratingof various components and power electronics demands special cables especially adjusted to the requirements of the test engineers. In order to adapt the test items to the test bench technique, SAB Bröckskes developed a cable that does not only fulfil the safety demands of a high voltage environment but also offers the user further advantages.

Due to the highly flexible stranding and the use of silicone as insulating material, thesingle core can be laid easily. Even with small bending radii the cable has got an optimum feel and adapts perfectly to its environment . The notch resistant silicone compoundguarantees a long service life and offers an increased protection against abrasion even with a frequent change of test items and modification of the test equipment. The double screening of the copper braid and aluminium foil offers a 100 % EMC-compatibility. Disturbances of the sensitive measuring equipment due toelectromagnetic radiation is avoided.

Also the worldwide operation of vehicles with the most different climatic conditions is respected by the choice of cable materials so that an application within a temperaturerange of -40°C up to + 180 °C is possible.

The cable meets all common voltage ranges of E-mobility. Even higher voltage ratingsare already considered. The B 110 C is available up to 1,8/3,0 kV AC respectively 2,7/5,4 kV DC. Herewith, the SAB design engineers respond to a security of investment of the user. The combination of heat resistant materials and sections up to 185 mm²allow also tests with high current ratings.

Single-Pair-Ethernet Cables for cable chain and robot application

The increasing networking and communication of machine componentsrequires the treatment of larger data volumes that have to be transmitted reliably even under difficult conditions.

The digital revolution is not only resounding throughout the land but has already found its way into many companies. In connection with Industry 4.0 the demands on data transmission in real time are growing considerably as well as the rapidly increasing degree of networking in production.

Ethernet cables are often exposed to high mechanical stress and high temperaturesin industrial applications. Furthermore, they are often in contact with different chemical products, oils and cleaning agents. The new cable type CATLine SPE created by SAB Bröckskes offers new solutions for various application fields. Within a band width of 1-600MHz these SPE cables that are appropriate for cable chainsand robots, guarantee a safe and reliable data transmission. The cables CATLine SPE Robot and C-Track are uncritical related to paint-wetting impairment substances (PWIS). Additionally they are oil resistant, UL-approved and RoHS-compliant. The focus is on two Single-Pair-Ethernet cables that have been especially developed for the increasing data transmission ratio in automation.

Sensor Cables | Sensor minus 50 / Sensor plus 250

The two new sensor cables from SAB are especially appropriate for an application with minus 50°C up to plus 250°C. The high flexibility, robustness and the large temperature range qualify these products for use in measuring and control technique, among others in test runs of trucks and cars at the polar circle or in extremely hot regions of the earth.

The smooth sheath surface of the cable avoids a stick-slip effect and the reduced cable construction enables a minimum bending radius to 2 x d. This makes possible a comfortable laying especially in test vehicles where you often will find narrow spaces. Furthermore, the small outer diameter and section make possible an application at miniature sensors as strain gauge supply or as connection cable in module technology.
