Smart Sensor for Monitoring Temperature and Humidity
Condition monitoring is an essential part of predictive maintenance. STEGO's Smart Sensor CSS 014 measures two important parameters - temperature and humidity - and helps to maintain an optimal climate within switch cabinets. The CSS 014 measures ambient temperatures with high sensitivity within a range of -40 to +60 °C while keeping a close eye on the relative humidity range from 0 to 100% RH.
The CSS 014 Smart Sensor transmits the data it acquires as a standardized analog 4-20 mA signal. This signal users can further process and convert the measured values within a control or monitoring unit, e.g. a PLC. Due to high measuring accuracy and signal strength connection wires with a maximum length of 30 m can be used.
The sensor unit of the CSS 014 is thermally decoupled and encapsulated with a circumferential seal. A shielded M12 round plug ensures a fast connection and safely transmits the signals of the two measuring channels for processing. The operating voltage is DC 24 V (DC 12 - 30 V) with a maximum power consumption of 1.8 W (typically 0.4 W). Tested safety is certified for the Smart Sensor CSS 014 through successful approvals with VDE and UL according to the standard IEC 61010-1 / DIN EN 61010-1.
Higher airflow in enclosures
Filter fans are used to provide an optimum climate in enclosures and cabinets with electrical/electronic components. The interior temperature of an enclosure can be reduced by channelling cooler filtered outside air into the enclosure thus expelling heated internal air. The resulting airflow prevents formation of localised hot pockets in installations and protects electronic components from overheating.
The Filter Fan Plus series uses a new airflap-outlet technology for the air outlet and thus reaches a high degree of airflow. A ratchet mechanism is used for mounting and provides high stability and tightness. Depending on the application there are two systems that are available - the FPI or FPO system. The FPI system is a standard installation with a filter fan in the lower part of the enclosure which ensures that fresh air is fed into the enclosure (airflow direction "In"). This system consists of a filter fan and exit filter. Whereas in the FPO system, the filter fan is located in the upper area of the enclosure to avoid heat buildups (airflow direction "Out"). The FPO system is composed of an intake filter and exit filter fan. The Filter Fan Plus series may also be used outdoors with appropriate protective measures or when equipped with weather proof accessories, e.g. Hose-proof Hood FFH 086.
LED lights with Multi Wide Voltage are ideal for flexible use in enclosures and casings of different sizes. Multi Wide Voltage supports both AC and DC voltages, ensuring maximum flexibility in the application. Fewer versions mean optimized processes in procurement and materials management. The mounting kit supplied also enables simple and versatile installation.
CS 032 Plus - enclosure heater with fan and PTC heating element that reliably protects against frost and condensation. The CS 032 Plus fan heater is equipped with a user-friendly temperature selector wheel. Variable heating capacity is possible thanks to intelligent control behavior. The flexible mounting option (variable) supports optimum air circulation.
