Description

EL Series – Electric Lifting Units for Vertical Motion

The EL Series adds a precise vertical axis to robotic applications. Featuring high rigidity, built-in guiding, and a battery-free absolute encoder (ABZO sensor), these lifting units simplify system integration—no external guides or additional components required. Ideally suited for use with OVR3 or OVR4 robots.

Key Features

Stroke lengths: 50 mm to 300 mm
Lead options: 6 mm or 12 mm pitch – vertical payloads up to 15 kg or 30 kg
Built-in guide: High rigidity ball spline; allowable moment load up to 80 Nm – ideal for SCARA robots
Direct mounting: OVR robots or other payloads can be attached directly to the unit body – eliminating the need for external guides
Cable routing: Top-through hole enables internal cable management for robots
Flexible installation: Can be mounted on stands or ceilings, expanding design options
Hedging: Equipped with a power-off activated electromagnetic brake to securely hold loads in place
Position feedback: Compact, battery-free absolute sensor (ABZO) integrated as standard

AZ Series - Servo-controlled stepper motor with battery-less absolute encoder

AZ Series - Servo-controlled stepper motor with battery-less absolute encoder

AZ Series - Servo-controlled stepper motor with battery-less absolute encoder

The AZ Series combines hybrid stepper motor technology with a built-in, battery-free mechanical multi-turn absolute encoder (ABZO sensor). This enables absolute positioning of ±900 revolutions without the need for external sensors. Motors run open-loop under normal operation for smooth, vibration-free motion and switch automatically to closed-loop control under load changes to ensure reliable positioning without loss of synchronism.

Key Features

• Battery-free mechanical multi-turn absolute encoder (ABZO) integrated as standard

• Absolute positioning range: ±900 (standard) or ±1,800 (extended) revolutions

• Open-loop operation for quiet running; closed-loop engagement for overload conditions

• Frame sizes: 20 mm, 28 mm, 42 mm, 60 mm, and 85 mm

• Gearhead options: spur gearheads, right-angle-gearheads, planetary gearheads & Harmonic Drive®

• Wide variety of actuators available: linear actuators, rotary actuators, grippers, and more

• Control flexibility: pulse-direction input, digital I/O, or fieldbus communication (EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus RTU)

• Integrated monitoring and diagnostic functions for reliable system operation

• Optional electromagnetic brake for holding loads in vertical applications

Common Features

Reliable positioning, compact design, and flexible integration into a wide range of automation solutions
