iC-MBE BiSS Interface Master
iC-MBE BiSS Interface Master
Description
The iC-MBE is a compact BiSS/SSI interface master featuring an on-chip RS-422 transceiver and a 20 Mbit/s SPI suitable to implement BiSS/SSI master functionality into any device or platform. Up to eight sensors or actuators can be connected. Two physical BiSS/SSI channels enable single-ended communication via internal CMOS and TTL transceivers. Alternatively, one differential BiSS/SSI interface with on-chip RS-422 transceiver can be enabled. iC-MBE is designed for a supply voltage of 3.3 V to 5.0 V and comes in a space-saving QFN16-3x3 mm² package.
Features:
- Bidirectional BiSS communication with up to 8 slaves
- Supports SSI protocol for unidirectional data transmission
- Isochronous sensor data acquisition with data rates of up to 10 Mbit/s
- Configurable BiSS/SSI interface:
- Two single-ended channels with TTL(5V)/CMOS transceivers or
- >one differential channel with RS-422 transceivers
- Slave register accesses during cyclic data transfers
- Automatic line delay compensation
- Configurable data lengths of up to 64 bit for each sensor
- CRC verification with up to 16 bits per slave
- Two memory banks for free controller access during BiSS sensor data transfers
- 64 bytes memory for bidirectional register access
- 20 MHz SPI slave interface for high-speed MCU access
- Precise on-chip oscillator
- Single 3.3 V to 5.0 V supply
- Operating temperature range of -40 °C to +125 °C
