This is why the bks+ is ideally suited for the web control of high-transparency foils, light-sensitive materials, materials with greatly varying transparency and paper subject to high paper dust loads. The bks+ edge sensor facilitates the contact-free web edge scanning of foils, paper and other soundimpermeable materials.

microsonic is expanding its portfolio with the esf+1, a new ultrasonic label sensor for modern industrial labeling technology. It combines a slim, flat housing, maximum positioning accuracy, and intuitive operation in an advanced sensor concept.

The lightweight and highly durable fork housing is made of a high-tech plastic with metal-like properties. The flat sensor surface makes cleaning easier and allows a clear view of the transmitter and receiver. The flat lower fork arm allows for particularly close positioning to the dispensing edge. An asymmetrical mounting adapter provides flexibility for installation on the left or right of the dispensing edge. For space-saving cable routing, the sensor has a swivel M12 connector, ideal for limited installation space.

The label material used can be quickly and reliably taught in (Teach-in) at a single touch of a button. The integrated IO-Link interface allows the sensor to be fully parameterized and integrated into existing systems—including the transfer of material parameters to a recipe management system.

The esf+1 is available in two designs:

• pro version (500 kHz) – for standard labels
• expert version (200 kHz) – for labels that are difficult to detect

Both versions are identical in design and interchangeable. The expert version detects labels that were previously undetectable with ultrasonic sensors.

The esf+1 is ideal for labeling applications that require maximum speed, maximum positioning accuracy, and maximum flexibility when handling a wide variety of label materials.

The mic+ sensor family in the M30 housing design covers a measuring range of 30 mm to 8 m with its five detection ranges. All sensors have integrated temperature compensation.
Users can now choose between the following variants: 1 Push-Pull switching output in pnp or npn switching on one output, 1 or 2 switching outputs in pnp or npn design, or the analogue output 4-20 mA and 0-10 V with automatic switching between current and voltage output.
