KEBA sees a local AI module in industrial design as a good alternative to the cloud. Combined with the actual machine control, it opens up numerous previously unused possibilities. This network-independent solution is particularly suitable for applications in image processing (vision). In an Early Access Program, KEBA offers interested companies the opportunity to quickly enter the world of neural networks. In addition to the compact multi-axis drive system KeDrive D3 and the three-axis controller KeDrive D3-AC, KeDrive D5 is our new single-axis drive system that enables a wide variety of drive solutions.

As part of our open modular platform Kemro X, the new KeDrive D5 fits seamlessly into the drive portfolio. Machines and devices with only a few axes require compact and flexible automation solutions.

The KeDrive D5 is our multi tool that meets your requirements. The easy-to-integrate drive solution for your application - both in machine and device engineering.

The latest product in the KeDrive product family impresses with its high dynamics and precision thanks to high-performance motor control for synchronous, asynchronous, linear and torque motors. With its Ethernet-based fieldbus interface and CANopen, the KeDrive D5 can also be easily connected to 3rd party controllers. The wide supply voltage range from 24 V DC to 480 V AC makes the KeDrive D5 suitable for a wide range of applications in the low and extra-low voltage range. Various options ensure great flexibility and future-proofing – such as an encoder simulation for simple synchronization of several axes or a multi-encoder interface for position detection at the load.

The KeDrive D3-AC three-axis servo controller, that you can discover live on our booth as well, was developed with a focus on three-axis handling kinematics. Cartesian robots in particular require increased drive power in the Z-axis. For this reason, variants with 4 A/4 A/6 A or 8 A/8 A/12 A rated currents are available for the three-axis unit.
In addition, you may have a look at our KeDrive D3 multi-axis drive system, which is an economical solution for machines with a larger number of axes.

As a complete automation system for hardware and software, Kemro X covers everything a machine manufacturer needs for its smart factory: All mobile and stationary panels, drives and hardware types as well as the engineering tool are built in.

The system has a modular structure and the modules can be used like apps on a smartphone. Modules from KEBA, customer-specific or Linux-based standard modules can be used. Linux-based openness allows customers to integrate their own software modules as well as third party software. This allows them to protect their know-how and maintain their independence.

Just as easily as combining individual ingredients to make a burger, the components from the Kemro X product and service portfolio from KEBA can be combined with each other in a variety of ways to create integrated automation solutions.
