Y-Circ P Push–Pull

Y-Circ P Push–Pull

Yamaichi Electronics Deutschland GmbH

Description

In order to offer customers a convenient extension to existing products, we have created a new flexible system for easy unlocking.

The unlocking aid is compatible with all Y-Circ P series straight and angled cable connectors and can be used for all standard sizes. With its facilitated unlocking function, this accessory helps users to take full advantage of the push-pull connectors - especially in tight spaces.

The push-pull circular connector is unlocked by simply pulling on the lanyard. The lanyard extends the circular connector to a certain extent. The functionality and advantages of the Push-Pull system remain fully intact. In tight installation spaces, this can lead to a gain in efficiency in terms of time, since the circular connectors can be reached and pulled without much effort.

On the one hand, Yamaichi Electronics offers new products of the Y-Circ P series including the already assembled unlocking aid. This means that the new unlocking system can be used immediately after delivery.

On the other hand, the unlocking aid is offered as a retrofit kit for field assembly. Customers who have already purchased circular connectors can easily and quickly assemble the unlocking aid themselves without suffering any functional disadvantages compared to the new product with the pre-assembled unlocking aid. The simple assembly is supported by the YCP-ACT-2 crimping tool.

Y-SPE Industrial Single Pair Ethernet

Yamaichi Electronics offers Y-SPE, a new series of connectors for Industrial Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) according to IEC 63171.

The new series initially includes both IP20 sockets and M12 sockets with IP67 protection for PCB mounting in accordance with IEC standards 63171-2 and -6.

Single pair Ethernet offers the possibility of efficient data transmission from the sensor to the cloud. The increasing need and ability of machines, devices and also components in the production environment to communicate poses challenges to the previous Ethernet. Especially for systems with cable distances >100 m, there were only few possibilities in terms of Ethernet.

Due to the large range and the uniform communication level, single pair Ethernet is therefore generally considered the key in the transition to IIoT and Industry 4.0.

Transmission takes place via only two and no longer via four or eight contacts. Due to this fact, it is possible to build smaller connectors than the previous RJ45. The same applies to the cables. Instead of two or four pairs, only one pair is needed. This saves space, raw materials, weight and money.

To additionally ensure the supply of power, SPE offers the possibility of using Power over Data Line (PoDL) - similar to Power over Ethernet (PoE). However, the limit here is approx. 60 W. Only the two existing stranded wires are necessary for use.

For components that require more energy, hybrid connectors have been entered as a draft standard, for example in 63171-7 for M12. Yamaichi also offers first prototypes for this if required.

If a customer-specific design is preferred instead of a standard-compliant design, the customer can of course also be supported in the realisation.

Yamaichi's connectors offer the possibility to be part of SPE from the beginning and to benefit from the advantages. There is a free choice from the standardised systems.

The advantages:

- Future-oriented technology in preparation for Industry 4.0

- Both mating faces available (IEC 63171-2 / -6)

- Space and weight saving

- 90° and 180° sockets in IP20 and IP67 (IEC 63171-6)

- 90° socket (IEC 63171-2)

- Customised solutions possible

M12 Push-Pull

The push-pull version with internal locking of the M12 connector from Yamaichi Electronics is the first M12 push-pull design to be implemented in an international standard (IEC 61076-2-012). This means that design-ins for M12 push-pull systems are now possible without having to resort to proprietary solutions.

Right from the start, Yamaichi Electronics has set a new standard with the M12 Push-Pull with internal locking. The cable-side connector locks from the inside with the latching hooks deep in the device socket. As a result, the push-pull system requires exactly the same installation space as a common M12 connection with screw locking.

With this technology, it is possible to integrate the M12 device box completely recessed into the end device, e.g. the distribution box. The system is IP65/IP67 tight and uses independent sealing concepts for screw and push-pull connectors. Mixed use of the connectors is thus reliably possible.

The particularly long latching hooks of the cable connector rest against the threaded segments of the device socket. This guides the system and makes it mechanically extremely robust. This offers significant advantages when subjected to torsional loads and rotational forces. The user has all the advantages of the push-pull locking system at his disposal: High time savings, miniaturization, blind and tool-free mating with the simplest handling - and all this in accordance with the proven M12 specifications.

Standard brings safety
During the international standardization process, industry-standard requirements regarding device integration and functionality were introduced and taken into account. This ensures an ideal basis for cross-manufacturer compatibility, which has already been proven between different manufacturers. The high implementation speed of IEC 61076-2-012 of less than 2 years is further proof of this.

Fully backward compatible
The device socket can still accept conventional M12 connectors with screw locking. Users are therefore not necessarily dependent on a special cable connector and remain flexible.
