Cable glands with split sealing inserts facilitate feedthroughs of pre-assembled cables. Thanks to their easy installation and high ingress protection rating (IP54 and IP68), they provide reliable protection against dust and water in demanding environments. The product range includes sizes from M20 to M40 and thus covers a wide and diverse variety of applications.

Edge protection for cables

Effective and long-lasting protection against cable abrasion and defects.

The innovative and compact edge protection nuts prevent abrasion of the cable sheath on the threaded side of the cable gland, offering lasting protection of the cable insulation. Available in metric sizes, the edge protection nut is ideal for applications with an increased risk of abrasion, whether cable diameter is large or small, and for confined spaces. It can cushion the high dead weight of cables with large cross-sections. AGRO edge protection nuts prevent the formation of pressure points and the resulting damage to the cable sheath.

Using high-quality materials, we meet the requirements of EN 45545-2 Hazard Level 3 and UL94 V0. Our edge protection nuts are designed for temperatures from -50°C to +105°C. They also cover a wide range of sizes, from M16 to M63, both one-part and two-part.

The two-part design enables the nut to be placed around a previously installed cable, increasing protection without the need for disconnecting and reconnecting the cable.

Whether traffic control and signalling technology, distributor housings, rail vehicles or solar energy systems: they must all be able to withstand wind and weather, heat and rain. The same applies to their electronics and electrics. Air pressure, temperature and humidity are constantly changing. Many electrotechnical housings are watertight and dust-tight (IP 68) but not gas-tight. This allows the entry of air moisture, which begins to condense when the air temperature falls below the dew point. The water that is now present can result in corrosion and defects/malfunctions. This can be prevented by installing pressure balance elements.
