For applications with extremely limited space, esd electronics offers the new ultra-compact M.2 card CAN-M.2/402-4-FD with up to 4 CAN FD interfaces. The card can be shortened to a format of 22x42mm and thus fits into even the smallest cases. The CAN FD interfaces can be routed to the outside via adapters. Each of the DSUB9 adapters required per channel has galvanic isolation integrated. This means that the connection takes place directly at the connection of the CAN cable, effectively keeping overvoltages outside the housing.

In addition to the galvanically isolated CAN interface according to ISO11898-2, each adapter also offers a CAN termination resistor that can be switched on or off via jumper. The card supports both CAN CC (CAN classic, formerly also 2.0A/B) and the newer CAN FD (Flexible Data Rate), making it a versatile solution for various applications.
