The Baumer Sensor Suite (BSS) is a PC software for the development and use of Smart Sensor Solutions.

With its simple and intuitive operability and graphical representation of the sensor function, it facilitates the evaluation, selection and parameterization of IO-Link devices. The BSS is manufacturer-independent, which means that all IO-Link devices available on the market can be parameterized. This also applies to several third-party IO-Link masters.

The new USB-C IO-Link master from Baumer is perfectly matched to this. It enables the simple connection of IO-Link devices to the BSS in less than a minute. With the future-oriented USB-C interface, data exchange and power supply are realized via one connection cable. The BSS thus enables the full potential of IO-Link to be used.

With the new sensor class OX series, Baumer enables effortless quality control and positioning solutions. Using profile analysis, the smart 2D profile sensors of the OX series can now solve a variety of previously challenging positioning and inspection tasks in assembly and handling more economically. The integrated tools can be parameterized directly via the intuitive web interface. The compact housing and Power-over-Ethernet enable easy integration. Combined with a precision of up to 5 micrometers, the OX series thus opens up new possibilities for reliable and precise solutions.

New sensor CombiLevel PLP70 automatically adapts to outstandingly varied media and offers user-friendly process monitoring thanks to the large touch display. To users, the most interesting innovation of the PLP70 potentiometric level sensor is its performance in media of low minimum conductivity. Before, previous sensor LSP was able to measure media with a conductivity starting at 50 microsiemens/cm. Which now has been surpassed by the PLP70. It will even detect extremely low-conducting process media (starting at 5 microsiemens). This is pushing PLP70 far beyond conventional limits and allows for use in media such as process water.

Potentiometric level sensor PLP70 - of course with IO-Link interface - enables efficient process monitoring and control with maximum flexibility. Thanks to the short response time of less than 100 milliseconds, the PLP70 is ideal for highly dynamic processes like fast changing levels in filling lines. High-precision and fast level measurement immediately pays off thanks to maximum exploitation of material and resources.

Deployment of potentiometric level sensors without floater like PLP70 ranges from industrial applications (process tanks, cleaning and filter plants, water treatment installations, agricultural machinery) to hygienic applications (filling lines, storage and buffer tanks, process tanks, filter and cleaning facilities).

Smart extras for fast implementation

Baumer provides these secondary 3D MCAD data for the O330 sensors as a starting point, and there are plans to add more sensors in the future. These data ease designing work right at the stage of selecting the right sensor. Such data enable easy visual prechecks with the help of a 3D preview. Furthermore, the 3D models integrate the beam path which therefore eliminates manual construction effort. This will reduce error potential and engineering time. Thanks to qTarget, the smart Baumer standard, the beam paths in the 3D MCAD model reliably comply with reality which ensures time-savings from the design stage to installation. Sensor installation as designed does not require further alignment, so the sensor is virtually ready for use immediately.

Optionally even with linear light beam – unparalleled in this performance class

O330 performs even higher thanks to enhanced performance reserve capacities, particularly when detecting dark, irregular or perforated objects. Here, diffuse sensors with background suppression characterize by their extended detection range of 385 mm, the linear light beam with PinPoint LED and extremely high immunity to ambient light. The product variant with linear light beam is unrivalled in this price category.

The IDC230 is based on the same innovative technology platform as the IDC200 Multicode Reader and is capable of reading multiple lines of text and 1D/2D codes in parallel at high speed. IDC230 can process up to 40 frames per second, even of different code types. The bright integrated lighting will solve even challenging applications without the need for external illumination and this way saving additional costs and effort.

With new IDC230 from the multicode reader series, Baumer provides the right solution for applications in industrial automation that require simultaneous text reading, for example in the form of label inspection. Reflective surfaces, changing light conditions or module sizes at minimum resolution limit are no problem at all for the IDC230.
