Designed especially for compact motors in challenging automation applications, the ECI 1122 and EQI 1134 rotary encoders from HEIDENHAIN expand the benefits of inductive scanning technology to include operating data collection, low signal noise, reduced speed ripple and simplified cabling. This was achieved by increasing the position resolution to 22 bits, leading to a significant improvement in control performance, and by harnessing the EnDat 3 communication interface, whose many benefits include connectivity with the HMC 2 single-cable solution.
