Modulary Expandable Power Analyzer – UMG 801

Beschreibung

A key success factor for modern companies is transparency across all data levels. Data from all company divisions must be acquired and consolidated in order to optimize planning for production processes, establish safety measures to protect systems and machines, and save costs, for example. This objective entails a number of challenges, because different standards, interfaces and communication options must be coordinated with each other. Networking areas that were previously examined separately, from the machine level to ERP systems and building management systems is very complex. OPC UA is a data transmission standardization that simplifies this consolidation.

The Janitza UMG 801 energy measurement device offers various communication interfaces and enables direct data transmission to higher-level systems via OPC UA, eliminating the need for costly integration.

The modularly expandable UMG 801 is ideally suited for the complete acquisition of an energy management system (e.g. ISO 50001). You gain transparency about energy consumption and energy costs at all measurement levels. In addition, critical deviations in power quality as well as residual currents (RCM), which load or even systems at risk, can be detected.

Future-proof investment: the measuring points can be subsequently extended to up to 92 measurement channels thanks to easily integrated current measuring modules.

All in one device

  • The basic device has:
    • 8 current measurement channels with 1/5 A inputs
    • 4 Multifunction channels, optionally configurable as RCM, temperature measurement channels or additional current measurement channels
  • Extensive measurement data memory with 4 GB for storage of measurement data
  • Two groups with four digital IOs each (tariff changeover and pulse input, logic states)
  • Analog output (DC 0/4-20 mA)

High-Precision measurement

  • High sampling frequency (51.2 kHz voltage)
  • 1024 Samples for the voltage measurement
  • High measurement accuracy on all channels (V: 0.2% / A: 0.2% / kWh: class 0.2)
  • Maximum safety: 1000 V CAT III
  • Extensive power quality parameters
    • Voltage up to 127th harmonic and interharmonics – THD-U and THD-I
    • THD-U and THD-I
    • unbalance
    • Event and transient detection

Visualizing, documenting and analyzing

  • Comprehensive options for visualizing, analyzing and documenting energy measurement data (GridVis® software)
  • Integrated automatic report generation (GridVis® software)
  • Integrated color graphic display for visualization and intuitive configuration on site

Managing and using data

  • Various interfaces for simultaneous use
    • 2 Ethernet interfaces
    • RS485 interface for data readout and can be used as gateway
  • Comprehensive protocols and services (OPC UA and Modbus)

Profit from OPC UA

  • Easy integration of measurement data from the basic device and measurement modules into higher-level systems (e.g. building control systems, SCADA systems)
  • Cyber security: Integrated security mechanisms to protect against unauthorized access and misuse
  • Configuration of the entire measuring system via OPC UA
  • Future-proof software architecture as the OPC UA standard evolves with new applications

Expansion module 800-CT8-A

The 800-CT8-A expansion module extends the base device with 8 additional current measuring
channels for each module attached. The modules can be connected using a click system with no
external cabling between the base device and the current measuring modules.

  • 8 additional current measuring channels
  • Connection of conventional current transformers
  • Installation via click system with no external cabling
  • Compact 4 sub-unit size
  • Requires a single module slot

Expansion module 800-CT8-LP

You can use the 800-CT8-LP expansion module to expand the basic device by 8 additional current measuring channels for low power current transformers. The module takes up very little space with just one 1 sub-unit. The modules are connected via the click system. You do not need any cables connecting the basic device and module.

Low power current transformers offer numerous advantages over conventional transformers. For example, they do not have to be short-circuited during
installation or servicing, which eliminates the need for transformer disconnect terminals. This saves a lot of space in the switchboard cabinet and saves the cost of disconnect terminals and installation.

  • 8 additional current measuring channels
  • Connection of low power current transformers
  • Installation via click system with no external cabling
  • Takes up very little space with just one 1 sub-unit and no transformer disconnect terminals are required
  • Price advantage of low power current transformers compared to conventional transformers
  • Higher levels of occupational health and safety during installation
  • Up to 40% cost saving and 75% space saving compared to 800-CT8-A module

Expansion module 800-DI14

The 800-DI14 expansion module has 14 additional digital inputs. Use the click system to connect the modules to the base system.

  • 14 additional digital inputs used to capture digital status information (on/off, open/closed,
    etc.)
  • Installation via click system with no external cabling
  • Takes up very little space with just one 1 sub-unit
  • Requires a single module slot

Transfer Module 800-CON-RJ45

  • Has a RJ45 interface and can be connected via a standardized cable
  • 2 modules connect remote measurement points with each other
  • Bridge distances of up to 100 m using cables
  • only 2 sub-units per module
  • Requires no module slot

Transfer module 800-CON

Remote measurement points can be connected quickly and easily using the 800-CON transfer module. This involves docking the transition module to the base device and connecting it to a transition module located up to 100 m away using a cable.

The expansion modules can be connected to the second transition module to take measurements
remotelyand record the data.

An 800-CON module does not requires a module slot.
