Business division “Digitalisation”: Cross-sectional function across all areas
At HEITEC, digitalisation is a fundamental component of the strategy and forms a cross-sectional function across all business areas. Over 15 years of in-depth experience and know-how in the field of Digital Engineering and Smart Factory have constantly expanded the range of digitalisation solutions. Using a newly developed deburring cell as a practical example, HEITEC will be demonstrating the benefits of digital tools and data-driven solutions in Hall 6, Stand 220. Simulations, virtual commissioning and digital twins minimise risks and costs, increase agility and resource efficiency and accelerate innovation cycles.
By parallelising the work steps in Digital Engineering, development processes can be significantly accelerated. Customers benefit from the advantages of the model-based approach, such as a consistent database, higher software quality, shorter commissioning times and timely error detection. The early development of software functions on simulation models enables work steps to be brought forward and systems to be fully commissioned virtually in advance. This results in lower costs and higher quality.
The Smart Factory rounds up this range with its intelligent solutions. By integrating IIoT technologies, customers can increase the efficiency of their production, make better use of resources and reduce costs. End-to-end networking instead of a hierarchical automation pyramid helps to increase competitiveness.
The HEITEC StarterKit acts as a connecting point between the machines and the HEITEC Solution Center and provides an overview of the machine status and processes with customized apps. Various measurements - such as energy and media consumption - help to optimise processes and make them sustainable and cost-efficient. The selection of apps is constantly being expanded.
Together, these solutions guarantee end-to-end digitalisation from planning and commissioning through to operation and monitoring.

Business division “Automation”: Comprehensive services for new systems and retrofits
To realise automation solutions in line with Industry 4.0, HEITEC offers products and services ranging from planning to integrated systems, regardless of whether they are new or existing systems. The proportion of software and hardware varies greatly. Business division “Plant and special machine construction”: Demo of a deburring cell stands for customised solutions
Machines and systems have to be designed faster than ever, yet featuring high quality, reusability and cost-effectiveness, even though they are becoming increasingly complex. HEITEC solutions contribute significantly to minimising risk while at the same time ensuring a faster and more stable start to production. The Electronics division is further expanding its range of services
As part of HEITEC's overall portfolio, the Electronics Business Line will be presenting its services as an E2MS provider in Hall 6, Stand 220. These range from the definition of the system architecture to the development and implementation of individual components, through to the production and integration of complete systems – if required, over the entire life cycle. This also makes them an important element of the company's end-to-end digitalisation solutions.
HEITEC Electronics recently remodelled and expanded its headquarters in Eckental to increase its capacities and offer even more services, including production and extensive in-house testing options such as X-ray inspections. With sustainable production, short transport routes, comprehensive test reliability and holistic lifecycle management possibilities, HEITEC combines high quality and customer proximity.
As a unique basis for cost-efficient solutions, HEITEC can draw on an extensive stock of standard enclosure technology. The aim is always to achieve the best possible technical and commercial solution as well as rapid market maturity. Business division “Energy Technology”: Safe and fast to CO2-neutral production
HEITEC’s Energy Technology supports customers with expertise in modular, high-availability systems and a wide range of tools for the rapid realisation of CO2-neutral production. With AI-based energy forecasts, digital twins, sustainability reporting, wind power service, secondary technology as well as protection and control technology, HEITEC provides reliable support at every stage along the entire energy value chain.
This is how customers quickly achieve the right CO2-neutral solution: model-based simulations are used to determine the energy systems that meet the requirements of the respective plant from the load profiles, and in consequence, a digital twin is developed. Based on model-predictive optimisation algorithms, the digital twin is trained in the next step according to customer requirements (economic efficiency, CO2 footprint, technology). The SmartEnergy app can be used to monitor energy requirements and CO2 emissions per product in a time-resolved manner.
The engineering expertise extends across all voltage levels: from machine protection technology to grid protection and control technology to substation control technology.
