FAQs Corona conditions

General questions

According to the current situation, trade fairs in Bavaria are feasible under certain conditions. Therefore, we currently assume that the SPS will take place as planned from 24 - 26 November 2020 in Nuremberg. The safety and hygiene concept for the execution of the trade fair was communicated at the beginning of July, so that the exhibitors can also start with the further planning of the trade fair

We will keep you up to date by e-mail regarding the safety and hygiene concept of the SPS 2020. In addition, all relevant information about Corona can be found here.

There will be a digital addition to the SPS 2020, supporting the physical event in Nuremberg. We are currently in the conception and first implementation phase. We will inform you about the next steps in the coming weeks.

Questions regarding stand construction

As the minimum distance of 1.5 m must be maintained at all times and the walking paths must therefore not be blocked, conversations in the aisles should be avoided. You are very welcome to use one of the Communication Zones with your conversation partner if a conversation is not possible on your stand area due to space limitations.

No documents or supervisory plans are expected. The sense of responsibility of each individual is required. Your support to follow the safety and hygiene concept are sufficient measures of your preparatory work. In addition, trained employees will point out possible irregularities on site. Floor markings on your stand are recommended measures that provide visual relief. They do not represent any obligation for exhibitors. Nevertheless, we should all bear in mind that the more recommendations are implemented, the greater our share of responsibility towards all trade fair participants.

There is no general restriction on the number of people on the stands. However, all persons on a stand must keep a distance of 1.5 m.

There is no limit to the number of stand personnel. However, care must be taken to ensure that a minimum distance of 1.5 m can be maintained at all times between the persons present on the stand.

No, there is no need to specify routes on the stand area or plan fixed entrances and exits. In order to ensure that the minimum distance of 1.5 m can be maintained at all times and to provide orientation for visitors, it is nevertheless advisable to work with floor markings or take other protective measures. Furthermore, it is advisable to plan generous open spaces around interaction points and exhibits.

At the present time, there are no plans to specify visitor routes in the halls of the SPS 2020, so that the stand orientation does not need to be adjusted.

Should it ever become tighter, you can go to a communication zone with the visitors. The Communication Zones are intended to relieve the aisles and avoid congestion. These are currently being planned. Should the planning regarding the Communication Zones be completed, further information will follow.

Other questions

Unfortunately, a face shield will not be sufficient and does not cover the mouth and nose. If the infection level has permanently stabilized at a low level, the mouth-nose cover may be removed from exhibition stands at the table, provided that the minimum distance of 1.5 m can be maintained. In this case, the contact data (name, place of residence, telephone number or e-mail address and period of stay) of the contact person must be recorded.

There will be no Guided Tours at the SPS 2020.
