The SPS Connect, which served as a virtual platform for the automation industry in 2020, impressively demonstrated that technological progress in the automation industry cannot be stopped even in the midst of a pandemic, and that an exchange between suppliers and users is of the utmost importance.
SPS Connect - the digital industry meeting place
From 24 – 26 November 2020, the SPS Connect digitally represented the entire spectrum of industrial automation. In addition to a well-rounded program of presentations on current industry topics and trends, the platform enabled a direct exchange among participants regardless of their location. Thus, the SPS once again proved that it is platform central meeting point for the global automation industry, even in challenging times.
Review of the SPS Connect 2020
239 exhibitors with 4,272 active representatives showcased more than 2,500 products at the SPS Connect. 9,121 active participants, including 27% from outside of Germany, accessed the virtual platform throughout the event to discover the latest trends and innovations, and extend their professional network.
Over the entire duration of the event, 22,216 networking contacts were established between participants and 4,296 business meetings were held.
The varied agenda of the SPS Connect included 120 program elements in 3 parallel streams and several round tables, with the most popular presentations being watched live by more than 1,300 people.
