Current information on exhibition planning – as of 14 October 2021
Taking into account the current Corona regulation by the Bavarian government, the SPS will take place under the German 3G plus rule. The ruling means that only those vaccinated, recovered and PCR-tested persons will be allowed access to the exhibition grounds; the PCR test must not be older than 48 hours. In return, exhibitors and visitors can waive the requirement to wear mouth and nose protection. The obligation to maintain a minimum distance from other persons is waived, as are limits for the amount of people present.
This makes conversations at trade show booths much more pleasant for everyone involved, because facial expressions are easier to assess. Of course, you can still wear mouth and nose protection voluntarily.
Appropriate control points will be set up on the NürnbergMesse exhibition site to ensure compliance with the 3G plus rules. Please have an appropriate proof as well as and an official photo ID at hand to allow for identity verification. We will inform you shortly about possible testing facilities in Nuremberg.
If you have any questions, please contact the SPS team at any time.
We look forward to welcoming the SPS community in person in Nuremberg in November!
The most important information for all participants at a glance
Access to the exhibition will be conditional, irrespective of incidence levels, on the presence of negative proof of testing (a negative PCR test in German or English, not older than 48 hours). Antigen rapid tests are not accepted as evidence. Exemptions from the test detection requirement apply for vaccinated and recovered persons.
Under current infection control law, asymptomatic vaccinated and recovered persons are exempt from the requirement to provide proof of a negative test result.
Persons are considered vaccinated if they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a vaccine licensed in the European Union, have proof of vaccination in German or English and at least 14 days have passed since the final vaccination.
Individuals are considered recovered if they have evidence regarding the presence of prior infection with SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in German or English, and if the underlying testing was by PCR method and was at least 28 days, but not more than six months, ago. If the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection occurred more than six months ago, the test detection requirement is waived if a singular vaccine dose against COVID-19 can be detected in addition to the convalescent detection.
Both recovered and vaccinated individuals must not have typical symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection. They must also have no evidence of current SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection. Vaccinated or recovered persons must present proof of vaccination or proof of recovery as defined in the SchAusnahmV before using a test-dependent offer.
Appropriate control points will be set up on the NürnbergMesse exhibition site to ensure compliance with the 3G plus rules. Please have an appropriate proof as well as and an official photo ID at hand to allow for identity verification.
The 3G plus rule allows exhibitors and visitors to waive the requirement to wear mouth and nose protection. Of course, participants are free to wear a mask anyway.
For the safety of all participants we ask you to follow the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute.
We strongly recommend frequent and thorough hand washing. Hand washing and disinfection facilities are available for you at sufficient distance.
Sneezing and coughing
We kindly ask you to observe the usual sneezing and coughing etiquette.
We recommend to maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 m between people throughout the exhibition grounds.
Indisposition on the exhibition grounds
If you have typical COVID-19 symptoms during your visit to the exhibition grounds, please contact the local medical staff immediately and leave the exhibition grounds.
Only visit the SPS if you are in good health. If you have had contact to COVID-19 patients in the past 14 days, show acute, unspecific general symptoms or respiratory symptoms of any severity you are precluded from the exhibition.
Please inform yourself about the current safety and hygiene regulations before your exhibition visit and do bring an according proof for your COVID-19 status.
The most important information for exhibitors
For the benefit of all concerned, we have drawn up a safety and hygiene concept together with NürnbergMesse. In this concept you will find the measures to be observed when participating in the exhibition and planning your stand. We currently adapt the hygiene concept to the new Corona regulation. We will update you shortly. If you have any questions in the meantime please contact the SPS team.
During the set-up and dismantling period, access to the exhibition will be conditional on the presence of negative proof of testing (proof of a certified negative rapid antigen test carried out no more than 24 hours ago or a negative PCR test in German or English). Antigen rapid tests for self-testing are not accepted as evidence. Exemptions from the test detection requirement apply for vaccinated and recovered persons. Please ensure that you carry appropriate proof. For the set-up and dismantling period, all persons on the exhibition grounds are required to wear a medical mask (e.g. surgical mask), regardless of whether the minimum distance can be maintained. Please also pay attention to the minimum distance of 1.5 m between persons during these days.
Prior registration is required to access the exhibition grounds during setup and dismantling.

The measures in detail
Organizational processes and measures
Ticket sales and voucher redemption take place exclusively online. The tickets are available on your mobile and allow contactless access. This means that all trade fair participants are registered and authorized to access the fair in advance. By registering, we ensure that the public health department can quickly identify contact persons in the event of a corona infection.
Cashless and contactless payment will be possible in all areas on the exhibition grounds.
The NürnbergMesse is equipped with an innovative digital navigation and information system. This enables us to disseminate information accurately, control visitor flows and point out current regulations.
A medical team will be present at all times - from assembly through the entire duration of the exhibition to dismantling. Paramedics and doctors will treat medical emergencies directly on the site. If necessary, they will be assisted by the public rescue service. In addition, a hygiene officer will be on site.
You will find hand washing facilities and hand disinfectant dispensers at all important locations on the exhibition grounds.
Contact surfaces (e.g. tables, handrails and door handles) and sanitary facilities are regularly disinfected and cleaned for your safety.
The exhibition halls, convention center and entrance areas are equipped with modern ventilation systems that operate with maximum fresh air supply and allow separate supply and exhaust air control. This means that we can guarantee a complete exchange of air multiple times every hour.
Rules for social distancing
In order to relieve the aisle and avoid congestion, we provide Corona-compliant Communication Zones in all halls.
Appropriate measures to maintain distances, such as floor markings, ensure that there is sufficient space in the entrance areas.
Professional queue management ensures that queues are avoided.
Frequently used aisles will be widened to support participants in maintaining the minimum distance in the exhibition halls.
Latest information on entry requirements
It is generally possible for trade fair participants from abroad to enter Germany. This also applies to exhibitors and visitors from high risk areas and for participants who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19.

Before departure, please check with the Federal Foreign Office of your home country about the current entry requirements.
